DURHAM, N.C. — Thanksgiving is coming early to Bull City. Durham entertainment company Family Bizness, LLC is getting prepared to host its second Thanksgiving meal handout, called Feed The City.

The event will provide warm meals and turkeys to families who are facing hardships during the holiday season.

Carlos O’Briant is the founder of Family Bizness LLC.

“The reason why we are doing this is because, like I said, I never forgot those hunger pains, and I know people who are just like myself who are in a bad situation like I was, or even worse growing up, so we want to definitely be the beacon of hope,” O’Briant said.

O’Briant is a product of Durham’s West End neighborhood and says growing up, his family did not have much.

“When it comes to food, it was very scarce. ‘Seconds’ was close to none. When it came to the holidays, it was lackluster. My mother did everything she could do, with six kids and limited income. When it came to holidays it was very tough,” O’Briant said.

That is why O’Briant is working to become a resource for those who are experiencing hardships similar to the ones he endured.

“My hardships helped to shape me into a strong leader and community activist,” he said.

This year, O’Briant partnered with several organizations — including Believe Community & Life Center, Gifts with Elegance, Elite Dollz of Faith and Runnin’ Legacy — to raise 115 turkeys during November.

The day will include live music, hot catered meals and turkeys for people to take home and cook on their own if they wish.

O’Briant says this is just the start of his mission to ease the burden on families who are struggling.

“The people who can’t say they came from here, or they aren’t here right now, I’ll be able to be the representative, or the ambassador for them and eventually the whole city,” said O’Briant.

According to the website, the AidiVerse is an “ecosystem of crypto-assets and utilities” that’s “bringing together complete Decentralised Finance solutions and integrating them with Blockchain gaming and NFTs.”

As such, LVitto can be heard both flexing his high-end lifestyle and making references to the crypto entity on the Neftty Beats-produced cut:

Joining the likes of Jay Z, Nas, and Snoop Dogg, LVitto officially jumps into the cryptocurrency space by endorsing Aidi Finance’s new crypto asset/utility ecosystem cleverly called the AidiVerse. In celebration of the $Aidi coin and $VERSE token, the Durham disrupter releases the official music video for the company-centered theme song “#AIDIGANG.” The drop also accompanies artwork that doubles as an NFT and features a fully evolved version of the $Aidi Dog.

Directed by Drip Motion, the HD clip finds the Family Bizness LLC CEO breaking down the blockchain-based system in front of a neon green BMW i8. Later on in the video, the NC native is seen joining some friends by a heated pool wearing Gucci slides and a matching headband, all in an effort to showcase what life could potentially be if you were to invest in Aidi.

Turkey giveaways held in the Triangle ahead of Thanksgiving

Another giveaway was held in Durham all thanks to Carlos LVitto-O’Briant. He used his business to help distribute 100 turkeys.

But he says Sunday is just a start.

“We’re going to start right here with a city that made me and we’re going to go beyond,” said O’Briant.

Growing up in Durham, O’Briant knows the need. That’s why he partnered with other non-profits in the area to help out.

“It’s rewarding, but again I feel like I can do so much more. A turkey, I wish I could give you a whole meal which that will come in the future,” said O’Briant. “I can sleep well knowing that someone, even if we gave one turkey to one person, would not go hungry on Thanksgiving.”
