The holiday season is quickly approaching, and we’re getting ready for our third annual “Feed the City” event. This event will take place on November 19, 2023. Last year, we supplied 201 turkeys and 200 hot meals to the community. I feel that we can take it to the next level this year with careful preparation, execution, and GOD!

This year, we intend to increase our impact by expanding our sponsor relationships and recruiting partners with gainful resources.

Our third annual event is scheduled for November 19, 2023, from 12 PM to 3 PM at SEEDS Community Garden. This time, we need your help to turn OUR dream into reality. We have already secured firm commitments from SEEDS, Inc., Durham Bottling Co., Melanated Wine, Beats n Bars, Triangle Resources, Blacktoberfest, Spectacular Magazine, and many more. Together, we can achieve new heights and continue our mission to Feed the City. We need monetary and in-kind donations, volunteers, and voices to help us spread the word. There is no donation too big or small; every contribution is a building block to the sanctuary for our city this holiday season.

Now, with the Feed the City initiative, I strive to carry the burden of serving those less fortunate and becoming a resource I wish my family had growing up. It warms my heart each year to continue contributing to feeding individuals and families experiencing hardship. Together, we will be one step closer to accomplishing our goal of feeding the community here in our backyard and beyond,” says CEO Carlos O’Briant.
